Iman holds successful Eid reception in British Parliament

The Iman Foundation has held a well attended and successful reception in the British Parliament to celebrate Eid ul-Fitr. Many prominent people joined in the celebration. The British Parliamentarians who attended included David Amess MP, Lord Sheikh, Lord Tariq Ahmad, Lord Qurban Hussain, Lord Nigel Jones, Jim Dobbin MP, Toby Perkins MP, David Crausby MP, Lord Kilclooney, Lord Hylton and Baroness Scotland.

Commenting on the event, Ribal Al-Assad, the Chairman of Iman, said:

"I am delighted that we celebrated Eid ul-Fitr in the British Parliament with people of all faiths and from across the political spectrum. It was a great and successful event. It is only through dialogue between people that we will we bring about reconciliation, mutual acceptance and peace in the world today."
