Hundreds of Syria terror suspects have returned to the UK
ITV NEWS
More than 700 potential terror suspects have travelled to Syria and hundreds have returned to the UK, police have said.
Scotland Yard believe that around half of the people of "significant concern" who have made the journey to the war-torn country are back in the UK.
Commenting on the report, IMAN Chairman, Ribal Al-Assad said:
"I am very concerned to hear reports of hundreds of foreign nationals returning from conflict zones in Syria to the UK - or indeed anywhere where UK nationals can travel without a visa, this obviously presents a serious threat to global security.
It is imperative that urgent action is taken to locate these people and bring them to justice.
If we do not locate and detain these people then there is a very real threat of a terrorist attack - we simply cannot allow this to happen."
