Iman Chairman offers condolences to Copts across the world over the death of Pope Shenouda III

Pope Shenouda III of Alexandria has died aged 88. For four decades he was the spiritual leader of the Coptic Orthodox Church, the largest Christian community in the Middle East.
Commenting on the passing of Pope Shenouda III, Ribal Al-Assad, Chairman of the Iman Foundation said:
"I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Pope Shenouda III. I would like to offer my sincere and heartfelt condolences to Coptic Christians in Egypt and across the world. I had the honour and privilege of meeting Pope Shenouda. He was a unifying religious leader who made a tremendous contribution in promoting inter-religious dialogue and bringing understanding, reconciliation and co-existence in Egypt and the Middle East."
