Cairo: Syed Kamall MEP delivers seminar on freedom and democracy to Tahrir Square activists

Syed Kamall, British Member of the European Parliament, has delivered a seminar on the 'Principles of a Free Society' to young Egyptian political and civil society activists including some who took part in the Tahrir Square protests, at the Cairo headquarters of the El-Ghad party. The seminar was organised and hosted by the Iman Foundation as part of its programme to promote liberty and pluralism in the Middle East and North Africa.

Syed's presentation focused on the concepts of Freedom, Democracy and Tolerance and ended with a fascinating discussion. The seminar was very well received with activists saying they were inspired and that Syed had made a difference.
