Beijing: Iman Chairman engages in dialogue with Head Monk of Lama Temple

This week, Ribal Al-Assad, the Chairman of the Iman Foundation met with Tu Yibu, the Head Monk of the Yonghegong Lama Temple in Beijing. The YongHeGong Lama Temple (YongHe Temple), also known as the 'Palace of Peace and Harmony Lama Temple', is a temple and monastery of the Geluk (Yellow Hat) School of Tibetan Buddhism in Beijing.
YongHeGong is one of the largest and most important Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in the world. The building and the artworks of YongHeGong combine Han Chinese and Tibetan styles.
Commenting on the meeting, Ribal, said:
"I was honoured and delighted to visit the magnificent Lama Temple and to meet with the Tu Yibu, the Head Monk. We had an excellent discussion about the need for greater inter-religious dialogue to bring about mutual acceptance and harmony in the world today. Iman looks forward to greater engagement with the Temple and Buddhists around the world."
