Beijing: Iman Chairman discusses cultural exchange with Vice President of Beijing Foreign Studies University

Ribal Al-Assad, Chairman of the Iman Foundation, has been welcomed at the Beijing Foreign Studies University by its Vice President Dr. Wen Jun and her senior colleagues to discuss cultural and educational exchange. Her colleagues included Professor Dr. Li Yonghui, Dean of the School of International Relations and Diplomacy, Gu Jiayun, Deputy Director of the President's Office and Youwen Li, Director of the International Exchange & Cooperation Office, Mr. Fu Rong, Head of the French Department and others. The meeting was also attended by Ambassador Li Qingyu, Council Member of the Association of Former Diplomats of China and former Chinese Ambassador to Algeria, Tunisia and Syria.
Beijing Foreign Studies University is the best foreign language and international studies university in China, often called "the cradle of diplomats" in the country. The university is multi-disciplinary and teaches most of the world's languages. Its alumni include many distinguished and powerful figures in China.
Commenting on the meeting, Ribal said:
"I was delighted and honoured to visit the university and meet with Vice President Dr. Wen Jun and her colleagues. We had an excellent discussion about cultural exchange between the university and Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. The university is a great center of excellence for teaching and learning. Iman looks forward to working with the university to develop greater ties and cultural exchange."
