IMAN Chairman's 2016 Orthodox Easter message

Orthodox Christians took part in all night celebrations for Easter today and as the lent fasting came to a close worshippers gathered in churches and cathedrals to take part in traditional festivities like decorating eggs and cakes.
Sending his wishes to worshippers around the world, IMAN Chairman Ribal Al-Assad said:
"May I wish all those celebrating the Orthodox Easter peace at this time, may we also spare a thought for those who do not enjoy the same religions freedoms that we all too often take for granted. I wish everyone celebrating Orthodox Easter the very best for the coming year."
