Lebanon: Iman delegation calls on Patriarch Beshara al-Rai

A delegation led by Iman's Middle East President, Sheikh Mohammad Al Hajj Hassan accompanied by Retired Lieutenant Colonel Tamer Awada, called on Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rai in Lebanon. Sheikh Hajj Hassan condemned the recent attacks on Christians in Iraq and Egypt. He stressed the need to fight sectarianism and promote greater inter-faith dialogue between Muslims and Christians to strengthen understanding and co-existence. Patriarch Rai and Sheikh Hajj Hassan both agreed to work together to keep Lebanon a free and pluralistic country.
