Iman Board Member, James Clad, speaks on 'Reflections of Engagement with the Muslim World'

Distinguished member of the IMAN Advisory Board, James Clad, gave a keynote speech at the recent IMAN/ICD Conference held in Berlin.

The title of his speech was "Looking Back a Decade Later: Reflections on Early Official Efforts to 'Engage' with the 'Muslim World'. " and was tremendously well received by all those in attendance.

James is a senior adviser at the Center for Naval Analyses (CNA) in Arlington, and also advises IHS Jane’s and Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA).

Between 2002 and 2010, he was the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for Asia and Senior Counsellor & Director for Middle Eastern affairs at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation,

He has also been a Senior Counsellor for the US Agency for International Development.
