I would like to send my warmest wishes to everyone around the world who is celebrating Orthodox Christmas this year.

At this time of celebration and giving, it is also important to reflect on those who still face oppression, poverty and discrimination across the world.

In the coming year let us all come together - from every religion, sect and ethnicity - to celebrate our commonalities and bring about greater dialogue, understanding and mutual acceptance.
